The ‘Virtual Museum of Kuyavia and Pomerania’ website was created to increase the accessibility of regional heritage assets by presenting digital representations digitized as part of the ‘Culture within Reach 2.0′ project, implemented as part of the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, Measure 2.2 Digital accessibility and usability of public sector information and scientific, cultural and regional heritage resources.
The aim of the project was to provide all those interested, mainly the region’s inhabitants, with the tools to actively participate in the region’s cultural events, as well as, through the digitalization of cultural institutions’ resources, to preserve the region’s heritage for future generations and, finally, to increase the accessibility of cultural resources by publishing them on the Internet.
